Some of the data is collected in order to ensure that the website is provided without error. Other data may be used to analyse your user behaviour.
‍
What rights do you have regarding your data?
You have the right at any time to receive information free of charge about the origin, recipients and purpose of your stored personal data. You also have a right to request the correction or deletion of this data. If you have given consent to data processing, you can withdraw that consent at any time with effect for the future. You also have the right, in certain circumstances, to request that the processing of your personal data be restricted. Consent may be withdrawn at any time.
‍
Data processing agreement
We have concluded a data processing agreement (DPA) for the use of the service named above. This is a contract required by data protection law, which ensures that the provider processes the personal data of our website visitors only in accordance with our instructions and in compliance with the GDPR.
‍

We would point out that data transmission over the internet (e.g. when communicating by e-mail) can have security gaps. Complete protection of data against access by third parties is not possible.
‍

‍
Storage period
Unless a more specific storage period is stated within this privacy policy, your personal data will remain with us until the purpose for the data processing no longer applies. If you assert a justified request for deletion or withdraw your consent to data processing, your data will be deleted unless we have other legally permissible grounds for storing your personal data (e.g. retention periods under tax or commercial law); in the latter case, deletion will take place once those grounds no longer apply.
‍
General information on the legal bases for data processing on this website
If you have consented to data processing, we process your personal data on the basis of Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR or Art. 9(2)(a) GDPR, where special categories of data pursuant to Art. 9(1) GDPR are processed. In the case of express consent to the transfer of personal data to third countries, data processing is additionally carried out on the basis of Art. 49(1)(a) GDPR. If you have consented to the storage of cookies or to access to information on your device (e.g. via device fingerprinting), data processing is additionally carried out on the basis of § 25(1) TTDSG. Consent may be withdrawn at any time. If your data is required for the performance of a contract or for the implementation of pre-contractual measures, we process your data on the basis of Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. We further process your data where it is required in order to fulfil a legal obligation, on the basis of Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR. Data processing may also be carried out on the basis of our legitimate interest pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The legal bases applicable in each individual case are set out in the following sections of this privacy policy.
‍
Withdrawal of your consent to data processing
Many data processing operations are only possible with your express consent. You can withdraw consent you have already given at any time. The lawfulness of the data processing carried out up to the point of withdrawal remains unaffected by the withdrawal.
‍
Right to object to data collection in special cases and to direct marketing (Art. 21 GDPR)
WHERE DATA PROCESSING IS CARRIED OUT ON THE BASIS OF ART. 6(1)(E) OR (F) GDPR, YOU HAVE THE RIGHT AT ANY TIME TO OBJECT, ON GROUNDS RELATING TO YOUR PARTICULAR SITUATION, TO THE PROCESSING OF YOUR PERSONAL DATA; THIS ALSO APPLIES TO PROFILING BASED ON THOSE PROVISIONS. THE RESPECTIVE LEGAL BASIS ON WHICH PROCESSING IS BASED CAN BE FOUND IN THIS PRIVACY POLICY. IF YOU OBJECT, WE WILL NO LONGER PROCESS THE PERSONAL DATA CONCERNED UNLESS WE CAN DEMONSTRATE COMPELLING LEGITIMATE GROUNDS FOR THE PROCESSING WHICH OVERRIDE YOUR INTERESTS, RIGHTS AND FREEDOMS, OR THE PROCESSING SERVES THE ESTABLISHMENT, EXERCISE OR DEFENCE OF LEGAL CLAIMS (OBJECTION PURSUANT TO ART. 21(1) GDPR).
IF YOUR PERSONAL DATA IS PROCESSED FOR THE PURPOSES OF DIRECT MARKETING, YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO OBJECT AT ANY TIME TO THE PROCESSING OF PERSONAL DATA CONCERNING YOU FOR THE PURPOSES OF SUCH MARKETING; THIS ALSO APPLIES TO PROFILING INSOFAR AS IT IS RELATED TO SUCH DIRECT MARKETING. IF YOU OBJECT, YOUR PERSONAL DATA WILL SUBSEQUENTLY NO LONGER BE USED FOR THE PURPOSES OF DIRECT MARKETING (OBJECTION PURSUANT TO ART. 21(2) GDPR).
‍
Right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority
In the event of infringements of the GDPR, data subjects have a right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in particular in the Member State of their habitual residence, their place of work or the place of the alleged infringement. This right of complaint is without prejudice to any other administrative or judicial remedy.
‍
Right to data portability
You have the right to have data that we process automatically on the basis of your consent or in performance of a contract handed over to you or to a third party in a common, machine-readable format. If you request the direct transfer of the data to another controller, this will only be done where it is technically feasible.
‍
Information, deletion and correction
Within the framework of the applicable statutory provisions, you have the right at any time to free information about your stored personal data, its origin and recipients and the purpose of the data processing and, where applicable, a right to the correction or deletion of this data. You can contact us at any time regarding this and any further questions on the subject of personal data.
‍
Right to restriction of processing
You have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data. You can contact us at any time to do so. The right to restriction of processing exists in the following cases:
If you dispute the accuracy of your personal data stored by us, we will generally need time to verify this. For the duration of that verification, you have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data.
If the processing of your personal data was or is being carried out unlawfully, you may request the restriction of the data processing instead of deletion.
If we no longer need your personal data but you require it for the exercise, defence or establishment of legal claims, you have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data instead of deletion.
If you have lodged an objection pursuant to Art. 21(1) GDPR, a balance must be struck between your interests and ours. As long as it has not yet been determined whose interests prevail, you have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data.
If you have restricted the processing of your personal data, this data may – apart from being stored – only be processed with your consent, or for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims, or for the protection of the rights of another natural or legal person, or for reasons of important public interest of the European Union or a Member State.
‍
SSL/TLS encryption
For security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as orders or enquiries that you send to us as the site operator, this site uses SSL or TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the fact that the browser’s address bar changes from „http://“ to „https://“ and by the padlock symbol in your browser bar.
When SSL or TLS encryption is activated, the data you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties.
‍
4. Data collection on this website
‍
Cookies
Our web pages use so-called „cookies“. Cookies are small data packages and do not cause any damage to your device. They are stored on your device either temporarily for the duration of a session (session cookies) or permanently (permanent cookies). Session cookies are deleted automatically at the end of your visit. Permanent cookies remain stored on your device until you delete them yourself or until they are deleted automatically by your web browser.

‍
Cookies may originate from us (first-party cookies) or from third-party companies (so-called third-party cookies). Third-party cookies enable the integration of certain services of third-party companies within websites (e.g. cookies for handling payment services).
Cookies have various functions. Numerous cookies are technically necessary, as certain website functions would not work without them (e.g. the shopping cart function or the display of videos). Other cookies may be used to evaluate user behaviour or for advertising purposes.
Cookies that are required in order to carry out the electronic communication process, to provide certain functions requested by you (e.g. for the shopping cart function) or to optimise the website (e.g. cookies for measuring the web audience) (necessary cookies) are stored on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, unless another legal basis is stated. The website operator has a legitimate interest in storing necessary cookies for the technically error-free and optimised provision of its services. Where consent to the storage of cookies and comparable recognition technologies has been requested, processing is carried out exclusively on the basis of that consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and § 25(1) TTDSG); consent may be withdrawn at any time.

‍
You can set your browser so that you are informed about the setting of cookies and only allow cookies in individual cases, exclude the acceptance of cookies for certain cases or in general, and activate the automatic deletion of cookies when the browser is closed. If cookies are deactivated, the functionality of this website may be limited.
You can find out which cookies and services are used on this website in this privacy policy.

5. Analysis tools and advertising
‍
Google Tag Manager
We use Google Tag Manager. The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.

Google Tag Manager is a tool with which we can integrate tracking or statistics tools and other technologies into our website. Google Tag Manager itself does not create user profiles, does not store cookies and does not carry out any independent analyses. It merely serves to manage and deliver the tools integrated through it. Google Tag Manager does, however, record your IP address, which may also be transferred to Google’s parent company in the United States.

Google Tag Manager is used on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the quick and straightforward integration and management of various tools on its website. Where corresponding consent has been requested, processing is carried out exclusively on the basis of Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and § 25(1) TTDSG, insofar as that consent covers the storage of cookies or access to information on the user’s device (e.g. device fingerprinting) within the meaning of the TTDSG. Consent may be withdrawn at any time.

Google Analytics
This website uses functions of the web analytics service Google Analytics. The provider is Google Ireland Limited („Google“), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.

Google Analytics enables the website operator to analyse the behaviour of website visitors. In doing so, the website operator receives various usage data, such as page views, time on site, operating systems used and the origin of the user. This data is combined into a user ID and assigned to the respective device of the website visitor.

In addition, Google Analytics allows us to record, among other things, your mouse and scroll movements and clicks. Google Analytics also uses various modelling approaches to supplement the data sets collected and employs machine learning technologies in data analysis.

Google Analytics uses technologies that enable the recognition of the user for the purpose of analysing user behaviour (e.g. cookies or device fingerprinting). The information collected by Google about the use of this website is generally transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there.

This service is used on the basis of your consent pursuant to Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and § 25(1) TTDSG. Consent may be withdrawn at any time.

The transfer of data to the USA is based on the standard contractual clauses of the EU Commission. Details can be found here: https://privacy.google.com/businesses/controllerterms/mccs/.

Browser plug-in
You can prevent the collection and processing of your data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available at the following link: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de.

You can find more information on how Google Analytics handles user data in Google’s privacy policy: https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/6004245?hl=de.

Data processing agreement
We have concluded a data processing agreement with Google and fully implement the strict requirements of the German data protection authorities when using Google Analytics.

LinkedIn Insight Tag
This website uses the LinkedIn Insight Tag. The provider of this service is LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company, Wilton Plaza, Wilton Place, Dublin 2, Ireland.

Data processing by the LinkedIn Insight Tag
With the help of the LinkedIn Insight Tag, we receive information about the visitors to our website. If a website visitor is registered with LinkedIn, we can analyse, among other things, the professional key data (e.g. career level, company size, country, location, industry and job title) of our website visitors and thus tailor our site better to the respective target groups. We can also use LinkedIn Insight Tags to measure whether visitors to our web pages make a purchase or take another action (conversion measurement). Conversion measurement can also be carried out across devices (e.g. from PC to tablet). The LinkedIn Insight Tag also offers a retargeting function that allows us to display targeted advertising to visitors to our website outside the website, whereby, according to LinkedIn, no identification of the advertising recipient takes place.

LinkedIn itself also records so-called log files (URL, referrer URL, IP address, device and browser characteristics and time of access). IP addresses are shortened or (if they are used to reach LinkedIn members across devices) hashed (pseudonymised). The direct identifiers of LinkedIn members are deleted by LinkedIn after seven days. The remaining pseudonymised data is then deleted within 180 days.

The data collected by LinkedIn cannot be assigned to specific individuals by us as the website operator. LinkedIn will store the personal data of website visitors collected on its servers in the USA and use it for its own advertising purposes. For details, please see LinkedIn’s privacy policy at https://www.linkedin.com/legal/privacy-policy#choices-oblig.

Legal basis
Insofar as consent has been obtained, the above-mentioned service is used exclusively on the basis of Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and § 25 TTDSG. Consent may be withdrawn at any time. Insofar as no consent has been obtained, this service is used on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; the website operator has a legitimate interest in effective advertising measures, including social media.

The transfer of data to the USA is based on the standard contractual clauses of the EU Commission. Details can be found here: https://www.linkedin.com/legal/l/dpa and https://www.linkedin.com/legal/l/eu-sccs.

Objection to the use of the LinkedIn Insight Tag
You can object to the analysis of usage behaviour and targeted advertising by LinkedIn at the following link: https://www.linkedin.com/psettings/guest-controls/retargeting-opt-out.

In addition, LinkedIn members can control the use of their personal data for advertising purposes in their account settings. To avoid LinkedIn linking data collected on our website with your LinkedIn account, you must log out of your LinkedIn account before visiting our website.

Data processing agreement
We have concluded a data processing agreement (DPA) for the use of the service named above. This is a contract required by data protection law, which ensures that the provider processes the personal data of our website visitors only in accordance with our instructions and in compliance with the GDPR.

6. Plug-ins and tools

Google Fonts (local hosting)
For the uniform display of fonts, this site uses so-called Google Fonts, which are provided by Google. The Google Fonts are installed locally. No connection to Google servers takes place in this context.

Further information on Google Fonts can be found at https://developers.google.com/fonts/faq and in Google’s privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=de.

7. eCommerce and payment providers
Processing of customer and contract data
We collect, process and use personal customer and contract data for the establishment, content arrangement and amendment of our contractual relationships. We collect, process and use personal data concerning the use of this website (usage data) only to the extent necessary to enable the user to use the service or to bill for it. The legal basis for this is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.

The customer data collected is deleted after completion of the order or termination of the business relationship and expiry of any statutory retention periods that may apply. Statutory retention periods remain unaffected.

8. Our own services
Handling of applicant data
We offer you the opportunity to apply to us (e.g. by e-mail, by post or via an online application form). Below we inform you about the scope, purpose and use of the personal data collected from you in the course of the application process. We assure you that the collection, processing and use of your data takes place in accordance with applicable data protection law and all other statutory provisions, and that your data is treated in strict confidence.

Scope and purpose of data collection
If you send us an application, we process the personal data associated with it (e.g. contact and communication data, application documents, notes taken during interviews, etc.) insofar as this is necessary in order to decide on the establishment of an employment relationship. The legal basis for this is § 26 BDSG under German law (initiation of an employment relationship), Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (general initiation of a contract) and – where you have given consent – Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. Consent may be withdrawn at any time. Within our company, your personal data is passed on exclusively to persons involved in processing your application.

If the application is successful, the data submitted by you is stored in our data processing systems on the basis of § 26 BDSG and Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR for the purpose of carrying out the employment relationship.

Retention period for the data
If we are unable to make you an offer of employment, if you reject an offer of employment or if you withdraw your application, we reserve the right to retain the data you have transmitted on the basis of our legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) for up to 6 months from the end of the application procedure (rejection or withdrawal of the application). The data is then deleted and the physical application documents destroyed. Retention serves in particular for evidentiary purposes in the event of legal proceedings. If it is apparent that the data will be required after the expiry of the 6-month period (e.g. because of imminent or pending legal proceedings), deletion will only take place once the purpose of further retention no longer applies.

Longer retention may also take place if you have given corresponding consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) or if statutory retention obligations preclude deletion.

Inclusion in the applicant pool
If we do not make you an offer of employment, there may be the option of including you in our applicant pool. In the event of inclusion, all documents and information from the application are transferred to the applicant pool so that we can contact you in the event of suitable vacancies.

Inclusion in the applicant pool takes place exclusively on the basis of your express consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). Giving consent is voluntary and bears no relation to the ongoing application procedure. The data subject can withdraw their consent at any time. In this case, the data will be irrevocably deleted from the applicant pool, provided there are no statutory grounds for retention.

The data in the applicant pool will be irrevocably deleted no later than two years after consent was given.
